What type of sealer do I use to seal the paint on Felicity's lips. I matched the coloring for her. I just need to seal the paint. I also need to know if there is one at wal-mart or if I need to go to the hardware store. Thanks so much!

    chrstnwmn7,

Sorry, I don't have the answer for you but I just wanted to comment on the pretty doll you have in your avatar. She is really beautiful.

The sealer I use is standard acrylic paint sealer. It's in the same bottle that those 99-cent acrylics come in, and it was on same shelf with them. I think I got it at Michael's.

What kind of brushes do you use for her lips? I was thinking of giving my doll a lip and check color lift, too. I am a little nervous about it though...Thanks

Candie D, it is really easy. I just got a super fine tipped brush so I could do the edges easily. Josie aslo got a tooth whitening at the same time. One of the nice things about the acrylics is that if you don't like it you can still take it off until you do a seal coat on it.

Just remember to get a matte sealer unless you want it to be glossy.

Here's another tip for getting pristine results:

To avoid having brush strokes in your work, thin your paint with acrylic paint extender (sold in with the acrylic paints) and apply it in several very thin layers. Your doll's lips will have a smooth finish, like she just came from the factory.
